We woke up early to watch our approach to Rotterdam. It was a gray day, but fortunately it wasn't raining.
We collected our hand luggage and said goodbye to Rotterdam and the two ships named after the city. Then the four of us drove in Dad's car to Winterswijk, where we would spend a few days before returning to Canada.
The first thing Murray noticed was bicycles... and more bicycles everywhere! This was in front of the Frerikshof hotel in Winterswijk:
Well Mur, you haven't seen anything just yet - wait till you see the bicycles waiting for their owners at any random train station...
On Tuesday we'll be flying back to Canada, so we decided not to take any risks and take the train on Monday, then stay overnight close to Schiphol airport. That means we'll have one full day in Winterswijk still... it will be nice to see my old town again. But first, let's get some shuteye and dream about the delightful cruise we had!
