Introducing: Leonito

In one of my previous blog posts, I mentioned that we happened to stumble upon a kitten - which of course did not happen in the end.

Ever since then my catological clock really started ticking... but what is worse, I had set off Murray's as well! Because he was once owned by two Abyssinian cats, he started to set his mind on another Abby kitten.

After many discussions whether wilfully adding a fifth cat to our family would put us into the realm of "crazy cat lady", we finally decided to contact the Abayomi Cattery. They just so happened to have the perfect little male ruddy almost ready for a good home! What to name him? Abbies are sometimes called the Mountain Lion of the Living Room. What about... Liona? Nah, since it's a boy we can hardly call him that. Of course our friend Liona had the perfect answer immediately: call him Leonito - Little Lion! What an adorable name!

And so, we proudly introduce, still living in Vancouver with his feline Mommy and siblings until he is old enough to move into our home: Leonito the Aby Cat! Here a whole bunch of pictures Tracy, the lady who owns the cattery, kindly sent us.

    1. Dank jullie wel :) Het grappige is dat wij in eerste instantie aan Leo dachten, en Liona zei waarom maak je er geen Leonito van! Dus ja, in het dagelijkse leven wordt het Leo hoor!

  3. Ooooh what a cutie patootie! Such an adorable little kitten with a perfect name. Do you have to go pick Leonita up or do they bring him to you! Four more weeks and he'll be yours!

    1. Thanks :) I think they'll ship him to Cranbrook Airport all by himself, poor little thing! Fortunately the flight is only 1.5 hours or so :) We'll have to see what the weather is going to be like though, if it is so bad that we can't get to the airport, obviously we'll have to wait till the snow and ice are gone...
